The package consists of 3 main pumps - vertically mounted ZW 20x16x30 model - and 1 startup Seawater Lift Pump - vertically mounted ZW 12x8x19 (A) model.<br />
<br />
In order to provide water for firing up the steam boilers, the startup seawater lift pump is first started. Once the power generation system is running, high voltage power supply is available to activate the main seawater lift pumps whose function will be to supply seawater for the topside processes such as water injection and for the accommodation quarters.<br />
<br />
These pumps were manufactured, tested and commissioned by RP India and designed by RP Specialists in México combining specialized analysis and the latest software technology.<br />
The pumps are designed to meet the very specific needs of the offshore industry and operate according to DNV Marine Class Certification.<br />

As part of a process review Spolchemie were looking at the transfer pumps. Obviously happy with the existing unit they were considering either an overhaul to as new condition or replacement with a modern unit. Naturally Ruhrpumpen UK Ltd maintain records for all delivered packages even ones decades old. Several options were discussed as the pumps are a critical part of the process. Ruhrpumpen offer a site survey service that can assess condition in advance of overhaul and can either perform partial on site refurbishment or provide an as new recondition service from their workshops in the UK.
As Spolchemie were unable to spare the service pump for any length of time for reconditioning and the advantages of recent refinements in pump technology were clear, it was decided to replace the old pump with an entirely new RDP 70/44 unit. Critical factors were short, on time delivery, seamless integration with existing plant infrastructure and of course price.<br />

The plant will serve as a demonstration of INFRA Technology’s solution that will make
previously uneconomic stranded gas fields viable and profitable. The company’s GTL (Gas to
Liquids) technology has a number of applications that will enable operators to unlock the
economic potential of remote, offshore and shale gas reservoirs as well as bio-waste
resources and coal. Also, it can solve the problem of gas flaring and venting, equivalent to
20% of the US or 30% of the European Union’s gas consumption per year, by producing
synthetic crude from this natural gas, reducing carbon dioxide and other emissions that are
harmful to the environment in the process.<br />
<br />
The RDP-70 Reciprocating Plunger Pump will be used for boosting water pressure in the
cooling loop. A particular feature of the pump is its compact footprint to fit within the ‘Plug
and Play’ concept of the modules of INFRA’s demonstration GTL plant. Ruhrpumpen was
selected by INFRA Technology for this and seven other centrifugal pumps in the bidding
process.

Algeria is the world's largest natural gas producing country and the Timimoun Field Development Project is located 800km southwest of the capital, Algiers. The project is a JV between Sonatrach, Total, and Cepsa. This non-conventional gas project will ultimately include 40 wells, a gas gathering system, central gas processing facilities, and a connection to the export pipeline and is expected to produce 1.6 billion cubic meters per year of natural gas over eight years.<br />
<br />
Maloney Metalcraft, under contract to Samsung, designed and manufactured the Gas Dehydration Package for the Timimoun Field Development Project. The Gas Dehydration Package prevents hydrate formation during the production process, reducing corrosion problems and protecting downstream equipment. The pumps are used to force glycol under high pressure into the contactor where the water vapour is extracted from the gas.

Maloney Metalcraft selected Ruhrpumpen following a competitive tender and in part due to Ruhrpumpen’s technical support and responsiveness. The pumps had to be contained within a compact footprint to fit within the Gas Dehydration Package and so Ruhrpumpen selected its reliable RDP 70 Series API 674 3rd edition triplex pumps that have been proven in numerous gas dehydration applications and then packaged the pumps with a vertical gearbox arrangement to fit within the available space.
Ruhrpumpen worked closely with Maloney Metalcraft during the design and manufacture of the pumps ensuring they were delivered on time to a tight 20 week deadline ready for
commissioning into the Gas Dehydration Package in the UK before it is despatched to Algeria.

La Pampilla Refinery, operated by Repsol, supplies half of the total demand for petroleum distillate products in Peru. Intecsa Industrial, the EPC working with Repsol, selected Ruhrpumpen for its reputation and ability to deliver against the requirements and timescales to replace the aging and unreliable equipment which was pumping light cycle oil, one of the products produced during the fluid catalytic cracking reaction.<br />

Space was at a premium in the refinery and delivery was required on a tight deadline. To meet these demands, Ruhrpumpen designed a compact bespoke arrangement based on its proven API 674 3rd edition RDP 70 triplex plunger pump using an in-line gearbox and B5-flange mounted motor which only required a single coupling for ease of alignment. The pump seal system is configured to ensure minimal leakage, an important consideration for the refinery. Ruhrpumpen also engineered a front pull-out design giving maintenance teams quick and easy access to the seals without removing the whole head unit.<br />

(Booster pumps) and two (2) SM 6X13X10 (Main pumps). The 2.3 MW
driver for the SM pump operated by a variable frequency drive.

The Base plate, that also will carry the Lube Oil System, is designed as a 3 point support
version. This is a special design for platforms and FPSO´s (Floating
Production Storage and Offloading). The 3 point support will protect
the pump unit from stresses due to the twisting of the ship.<br />

The package will be placed on a special FPSO from Sevan Marine, the “Sevan Voyageur”. This FPSO from Sevan is a special design (different from the more common standard design of a Modified Tank
ship). The cylindrical design makes it vertical modular and extremely stable.<br />

couplings for engineered pumps. At the rating of 800kW, this technology pump
includes an exclusive design of axial and double radial bearings made of

The SCE-M and CRP-M (OHM) magnetic driven pumps promise 100% leak-free
performance, these pumps are maintenance free and meet the requirements of the
TA-Luft (German Technical Instruction on Air Quality Control). The SCE-M pump is a API 685 pump and draws
its hydraulic range from the SCE API 610 OH2 line wich offers about a 150

operate at a capacity of 23,775gpm (1500 l/s) and generate 71,074 HP (53MW) for
pumping seawater to Sierra Gorda Project, which is property of “Sierra Gorda
Sociedad Contractual Minera, located in the Antofagasta region, North of
Chile.<br />
<br />
Sierra Gorda Mining Project consists on the open pit exploitation of
copper sulfides and its processing, this produces copper and molybdenum concentrates
through a process conducted with seawater. The seawater pipeline reaches the
140km length and an altitude of 5577 ft. above the sea level.<br />
<br />
The system requires Duplex Stainless Steel equipment, which is composed
by eight motor driven vertical turbine pumps (Model 20MQH 4 stages, 600HP)
installed at the port.<br />

The Combitube pump uses a stationary pitot tube within a rotating casting, that accelerates the liquid which then enters the pitot tube. Once the liquid get in to the tube, the fluid velocity is converted into pressure and a pulsation-free flow is delivered to the discharge flange.

The ability of the pump to operate with a low flow makes the pump suitable for a wide range of applications, such as those where the flow required varies continuously.
Combitube has two versions: oil and greased lubricated. This pump line is now exclusively available only through Ruhrpumpen including units, replacement, duplicates, upgrades and spare parts.<br />
